So my first challenge for you is to name the song this particular blog title comes from. I have been thinking about getting a new tattoo and these are the words I want, all I have to decide now is where I want them and in which font.
I remember the first time I heard these lyrics they had quite a profoud effect on me. I spend a lot of time looking back, mulling over the things I can't really change. Now I'm not saying that I will never look back again but this particular song really made me realise that it was okay to visit your past, just don't let it be where you live full-time.
I have had a really great weekend so far watching The Olympics. The opening ceremony was absolutely stuning, it went way beyond what I expected it to be, especially as everyone kept saying we couldn't possibly put a good show on following Beijing, then there was all the negative talk about the countryside setting!! Well yar boo sucks to all of you naysayers out there, we put on an amazing show and the actual lighting of the torch was beyond spectacular. My God, even Her Majesty The Queen joined in, the James Bond spoof was brilliant and you only have to look at her permanently miserable looking face to know she has zero sense of humour!!
On to this weeks card for Kenny K's Krafty Krew and challenge #104 is Banners, Pennants & Bunting. Plus there is the extra bonus of having a new release to show you. Kenny's latest collection are all Retro characters and this is what he has to say about his latest release:
This Sunday we will be releasing our newest digis from our Retro collection, which were inspired by the current Facebook trend of accompanying classic old-timey literary illustrations with modern-day sarcasm and politically incorrect commentary with a wink. This new release includes some fun and stylish art deco and flapper ladies, a 50's martini-toting party girl, and classic film noir-era comic-book panel imagery, just are screaming for your witty sentiments!
I have used the following images on my card; Big Surprise, Smart Aleck, Total Drama and Wise Guy. I was trying to make a card that looked like a comic book. I used Spellbinders dies and a skull and crossbones charm, the barcode is from a Sight and Sound magazine! This collection also includes some other amazing images which you should check out at Kenny K Downloads and I really love what the other members of our team have achieved too, treat yourself, go have a gander!
Anyhoo, hope you like it and I will be back again in a few days with yet another creation I am particularly proud of,
Hugs 'n Stuff,
Andy

Well Andy what I have to say will take just 8 letters :) WOWWWWWW......
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card my friend.Great use of the images and great colouring and I adore the layout... inspired (another 8)
Your work really does go from strength (8) to strength.
I really do think it is worth looking back as you can see where you came from but oh to be able to look forward to see the future.........
I had a real chuckle on Saturday. I had an email from the National Lottery saying 'news about your ticket'. I sat for about a minute thinking yes..... I am one of the 100 millionaires created last night.... hmmmmmmmm I was one of the 1,000,000 who won £6.
Ce la Vie... there is always next week.
